Hello everyone.
I have a question regarding the podman generate systemd command.
I am currently preparing for an exam and have prepared my LAB environment with RHEL 9.4.
I wanted to practice some container specific tasks using podman and skopeo.
After creating the container, I wanted to create it as a systemd unit file, but when I ran podman generate systemd --help, it said that the systemd command is deprecated and I should use quadlets instead.
As far as I know, there is a library called podlet (which is not available in the AppStream/BaseOS repositories) for creating unit files like podman generate created. How will this look on the exam? If the command is not deprecated in the RHEL9 documentation, can I use it without losing points?
Hi @Kloudy1, I advise you to stick to the RHEL version of the exam. Review the packages included by default and look for the podman version. The grading scripts may be looking for config files and if they can't find it because you did the exercise differently, you won't score.
