RHEL 10 - Modes of Operation

RHEL 10 can operate in FIPS ( Federal Information Processing Standard )
mode.

What other modes can RHEL 10 operate?

The other modes (apart from FIPS)supported by RHEL 10 are: Image Mode, Enforcing mode, STIG mode and Rescue Mode

Image Mode: used in Cloud-Native Ops and in Image mode, OS is managed as a bootable container.

Enforcing Mode:  Daily Security SELinux  and blocks unauthorized interactions.

STIG Mode: used in Gov/Defense Security for Pre-hardened configuration for high-security sites.

Rescue Mode: Most commonly used by admin during System Repair Minimal shell for fixing a broken OS.
