Unable to set display resolution permanently in RHEL9

Hi,

I am unable to set display resolution permanently in RHEL 9. It is keep on changing. Anyone can suggest a solution ? It is a VMware Player VM.

My xrandr output:

@SoorajT Thanks for reaching out.

 

You can go to Settings > Devices > Resolution set to 1920x1080

 I want to know how we can if set display resolution permanently. Because it is keep on changing after reboot. There is a method of putting display resolution configuration  parameters in .bashrc file. It can be system wide or  user specific. I want to know those details. So that I can keep user specific display resolution settings in an LDAP environment
with help of NFS automount set up.

I had the same issue but with Virtualbox, no matter which config file I changed or how I set the resolution, it would no persist. In my case it was solved after installing the Guest Additions CD in RHEL 9, maybe there is some similar complement for VMWare.
