Can a forward slash (/) be used as a character
in a filename?

@Trevor Not sure if it can be done via some unicode twisting but it will not serve the purpose fo this question IMHO but I am sure generally it will be disruptive to the OS given the system calls which does lookup and might get confused especially for XFS and ext4 filesystem. May be someone else can light up this thread with more details.

Its a reserved character and reserved characters cannot be used in file names.
