how to calculate nagios CPU utilizaion calculation for high cpu uage on linux 4 OS

Hi Team,

 

how to calcuale manually Nagios CPU utilzation below values .

if any one knows about  Y and P value is not clear and could you please explain .

# y = c * p / 100
# y: nagios value
# c: number of cores
# p: wanted load procent

 

please provide one example if possible

Hi @Lisenet ,

 

yes , RHEL 4 (OS) . 

actually I identified number of JVM  ports are showing TIME_WAIT and not shows any ESTABLISHED . 

thanks for your valuable reply . if possible could you please provide steps for resolve .

TIME_WAIT indicates that a local application has closed the connection. It's not a problem on its own.

I feel compelled to chime in that RHEL 4 has been End Of Life since March 31, 2017.

The last update for the OS was 4.9 released in February of 2011.  You should really be looking to migrate off of this system, instead of troubleshooting it.
