passkeys or ssh keys

Was doing some reading on passkeys in a Linux environment - wanted to make a comparison between them and ssh keys.  One of the things that I learned about the difference between the two is how - not necessarily easy or difficult - they are managed.

I'd like to hear from some of you who have "actually" used passkeys in a Linux environment.  Which do you have a preference for?  Would you say that passkeys are easier to manage than ssh keys?

I know the primary reason I still haven't taken a look at passkeys is because I'm too old school (i.e. tied to ssh keys).  I'd probably still be using a rotary dial, landline phone, if it still existed : - )

@Trevor I am also old school here. I dont think we still have OS support for passkeys like we have with Openssh : https://developers.google.com/identity/passkeys/supported-environments/

heard some passkeys are popular - Authentik , Keycloak ( OIDC support is there ).
