@RH124chapter11 It seems you are talking about lab grading. Please help me with lab exercise name or chapter section details so that I can take a look. I dont hava pdf so I cannot check by page number wise.
Hi chetan,
the chapter is Chapter 11: "Controlling Access to Files "and the lab name called: lab start perms-review. Thank you in advance for your help.

@RH124chapter11 I am checkin on this. Sorry I missed your message earlier !
@RH124chapter11 I could not reproduce the reported issue in the lab :
it is possible that you missed some steps from step 3 onwards and I recommend you to redo those steps as per the mentioned course steps.
Hi Tiwary,
Thanks for your reply! I followed every step in Step 3, but I always get the error message, "Failed to verify that dev1 can create files on /home/techdocs," no matter how many times I try this lab. I have also done exactly what the solution says, but nothing has changed. I can create new files in the /home/techdocs directory with the dev1 user, so I don't understand why the error message appears. If you think that is the problem, we can work on it together. Could you log in to my lab and take a look? If not, I can also show you via Teams.
@Chetan_Tiwary_ Or, let me ask another question: What will be checked on dev1 to allow it to create a file? Is it the Berechtigung von /home/techdocs? It should be set to user = root, group = techdocs, and dev1 should belong to the techdocs group, which has rwx Zugriff. That is exactly what I have set for dev1.
@RH124chapter11 in that case - Please raise a support case for us to check in your lab.
Do not undo anything that you have done and also do not delete the lab. Once you raise it - our backend team can check and let you know the root cause.
@Chetan_Tiwary_ I think I am not allowed to raise a support case because I only have permission for these classes. What is your opinion about the problem 'Failed to verify that dev1 can create files on /home/techdocs'? Do you agree with me, or have I forgotten something? Did you do the lab yourself?
