Hi All,
I'm trying to enter the emergency.target in section 14.2, Fix boot issues comprehensive review and having some issues.
When I try to access the serverb via the console, a new tab opens (as expected) and I'm able to edit the grub menu. At the end of the kernel line, I'm able to add rd.break and press Ctrl + x to continue. The system loads the initramfs and enters the emergency mode. However, here my keyboard stops responding. Anyone else experiencing this?
I have tried using both Chrome and Firefox, the behavior is the same. Screenshot attached below.
Thank you
Deepak
I see two problems:
1) Do not muss emergency and initrd ( rd.break ) target. Although the task can be solved in any way, in this case it is assumed to use emergency.target Find lines "Use the cursor keys to navigate to the line that starts with linux. Append systemd.unit=emergency.target." in SG.
2) Main issue, Do not miss remark in SG about "Use the cursor keys to navigate to the line that starts with linux. Remove any console= options from the line. Important: If you do not remove the console= options from the GRUB entry for the rescue
kernel, the root prompt might be started on the wrong console and you might not be able to access it easily."
I hope this help you,
Good luck

@ARoumiantsev Spot on !
Hi @ARoumiantsev Thank you. I should have entered the emergency.target instead of rd.break and that was the problem.
