What additional benfits does STRATIS provide other than thin provisioning that LVM doesn't?

The only thing I'll add, in case you didn't already know, is:
-  ease of use
-  access to advance storage features

I won't take away from your enjoyment of learning by providing any
details here.  Part of the fun and satisfaction on the learning journey 
is probing, and making discoveries!
