ch06s04 - PAM account management error

Jump to solution

Hi there,

I am getting an error on the point 8 of the guided exercise.

I tried executing the whole exercise from scratch more than 10 times now, but I still get the error. I tried to explore logs and sudo config files but I am not able to completely understand why I get the error:

sudo -l does not work as well.

I also tried to delete the lab environment but everything goes well until the sudo rule setup.

Is there anyone who experienced the same?

Any other suggestion or advice are welcome.

Thank you

Best Regards

@rhnoname I was able to reproduce the issue that you reported. However, I got it working by clearing the sssd cache and restarting the sssd service on client as root :

I will report this to the course development team to include these steps as well.

@rhnoname Sure let me check that for you. There is a chance that the exercise has an error or a bug.

uhm, weird.

I already tried to clear sssd cache and restart sssd service, but no effect there.

I suspect there is something wrong with my lab environment, at this point.

I will try to delete it again and starting from scratch.

Thanks for the input
