Alternative/Replacement for EX283

Since EX283 is no longer available, which certification/exam serves as the replacement or alternative in the RHCA - Enterprise Apps track ??

I think a good candidate as an alternative certification/exam is the EX378

I have looked into EX378 and plant to take it. However it is not mentioned in the docs as an alternative to EX283. I also think it should be the replacement, but not entirely sure of it.

Docs say RHCEMD + 5 certs as the requirement for RHCA in Enterprise Apps. So I', not really sure if EX378 meets that requirement,

I assume they need to update RHCA requirements in Enterprise Apps because Ex283 has been retired so there is no way to get this certification .

For the EX378 they just say: "which also counts toward earning a Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA®) certification".

I also think the document should be updated and it's a bit confusing at the moment. I haven't heard from Red Hat certifications team regarding the alternative for EX283 as well.

Hi

Based on the feedback I received from the certification team, EX378 replaces EX283. And it earns Red Hat Certified Cloud-native Java Developer certification. RHCEMD is no longer available.

Red Hat Certified Enterprise Application Developer (EX183) and Redhat Certified Cloud-native Jave Developer (EX378) certifications serves as the base certifications for RHCA Enterprise Applications Track.
