In the past, I have given tutors and TAs access so they can verify that the assignments we track are still available and have not undergone significant changes. As I went to do that for this semester, it complained about duplicates. Is there a way to grant tutors and TAs access? What if a student drops the prior semester and enrolls in a future semester? How should we handle that?
I'm wondering what options are available and how I should handle this access.
If you have access to the "Educators" section, you can see this topic. It addresses this. Long story short, this is a new feature of the platform, and a learner may only be enroled in a particular course once. To enrol the same RHNID (and/or email address, which may have only 1 RHNID associated with it) in another section of the same course, remove them from the prior course.
Alternately, use a new RHNID (and new email address) for the person.
I prefer the former, now that I have learned that it is only required for each course type - e.g. "RH124-9.3". If they're also enroled in an old "RH124-9.0" course, it does not flag.
However, if you have multiple sections of the same course at the same time, the latter may be required to enrol the same TA in all the courses.
