Good Evening,
The college I support has recently updated the classroom to Dell PCs which have a UEFI Bios installed. Dell Optiplex Tower Plus 7020 and the BIOS Version is 1.5.0. When I download the Red Hat image (usb-9.2-50G-rhcsa9.0-mbr-r2023060818.img), then using DD to push the image into a USB stick and then try to boot the new Dell PC, it doesn't even see the USB stick. I also tried this image (usb-9.3-48G-rhcsa9.3-mbr-r2024102419.img).
I think the issue may be that the USB stick is formated in Ext4, by the DD process.
Has anyone seen this issue and how did you resolve it.
not sure if using dd for a .img file is the best way to go.
If it was an iso file, sure. I could help with that but my limited understanding if img files is that you benefite from using a different piece of software.
Here is the site I found useful on this topic:

Also, in the UEFI, have you made USB drives the first device to check for a bootable drive?
Quick question - are you using the latest version of the setup doc? Just in case, here’s the link to the most up-to-date one: https://rha.ole.redhat.com/rha/app/resources/installation-and-troubleshooting-guides >> 00-Introduction to RHA DIY Labs-20241024.pdf
