Hello Everyone, I am Parul Sharma.
I am a final year MCA student from India. I have worked on technologies like JAVA, Web development etc.
I am very new to this RHA Program and looking forward to learn new things.
Fun fact : I am more interested in talking to people than to code alone.

Hi Everyone,

my name is PIetro. As my name may suggest I am Italian, but I recently moved to Berlin. Even though I have a background in Architecture and Public and Environmental policy, I always spent some time learning programming on my own, until recently when I started at 42 Wolfsburg to properly study Software Development, where I am also a Student Ambassador. At the moment I am focusing on the System Administration curriculum (nothing better than being the actual owner of your own device), but since I am still studying I am very interested in attending all of the courses provided by Red Hat Academy. I am looking forward to both learn practical skills as well as connecting with other people, both professionals and students.

Nice to meet you all

Hello All,

My name is Jeff McKinney and I teach RH124/RH134 at the University of Maryland.  My main job is in IT for the College of Engineering at the University of Maryland and I spend a significant amount of time each week working with Red Hat and Ubuntu.  I originally developed a Linux course years ago based on Ubuntu but swiched over to Red Hat and I love being able to leverage the wider range of resources available.

Fun fact:  I learned Linux on A/UX (Apple's version of Unix) on a Mac II in college.  It ran as a separate OS from the base Mac OS.

Hi Everyone,

I'm Mike Smith. I'm the RHA admin here at Forsyth Tech Community College in Winston-Salem, NC. Been playing with Linux since about 2010 and it is currently my primary OS (PoPOS! is quite nice with a shoutout to system76 for putting my system togther for me!!). I don't think "that other OS" has been on my machines except as VM's for student support purposes since that date.

We at FT are fairly new to the academy but I've enjoyed teaching RH 124 and 134 so far and just convinced out program to add DO180 to the mix to help prep our students for this cloud computing world we all seem to be living in (although given what happened to Amazon Web Services yesterday, I wonder how many are second guessing those decisions :) ).

I'm really having fun playing with this container technology right now and working on converting my home email, CA, FTP, TFTP servers to containers just for fun.

My name is Tony Chen and a professor at College of DuPage (COD) at about 30 miles west of Chicago.

I have transitioned from teaching Microsoft and Cisco into teaching RedHat system admin 1 and system admin 2 for the past year.

I am looking for any opportunity to expand my knowledge and how to make myself a better teacher in this area.

I am welcome for any feedback.

Thanks

Tony Chen
