RHCSA / RHCE - RHEL 8

I'll be attempting my RHCSA next week. Since RHEL 8 beta is out, how soon will it be before certs for RHEL 8 be available ?  Would it make sense for me to wait for RHEL 8 certs to be available or go ahead and attempt RHCE for RHEL 7 in 2-3 months as I initially planned ?

Hi Trevor,

Only General Available RHEL major releases will be examined.
There will not be exams related to beta releases.

Hi Ali,

Thank you for contacting Red Hat Training!

The RHEL7 RHCSA and RHCE exams are still available in an Individual Exam Format until May 2020.

An individual exam is essentially an exam voucher that is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. Upon completion of your purchase, Red Hat will send you an email with a link to our Exam Scheduler Tool (this link typically takes 24 hours to become active). This tool will allow you to select your preferred training location and then the exam time, based upon the chosen location's availability.

Individual Exam Locations (you must select 'Show Filters' and then 'Individual Exams Available'

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Best regards,

If you took RHCSA on RHEL 7 then your RHCSA should say RHEL 7 under "Technologies Used" section.

If you want to have RHEL 8, you need to take RHCSA on RHEL 8. It would still be the same RHCSA certificate though, therefore I don't think it makes much sense unless you have money to spare for the exam.
