Re: Introduce yourself to the Community

Hello all.  My name is Vincent Terrone and I am based in the NYC area in USA.  I am an enterprise architect for IBM System Z (mainframe).  I am also a part-time teacher for local community college and have been teaching Linux (intro and advance) for 5 years.  I rallied my school to join the Red Hat Academy so here I am.

I would like to convert my Intro to Linux and Advance Linux over to use what Red Hat has built.  Two things I would need are presentation slides for lecturing and test bank for questions for Canvas.  Later I am sure I could whip together if ones are not available.

Does anyone have slide decks created or test bank for Canvas?

Thanks and I am excited to be here.

Congratulations VTerrone on getting your institution to climb aboard the
Red Hat Academy.  More than anything, your students will thank you down
the road!!!

@VTerroneWelcome to the community and to Red Hat Academy! Have you already gained access to the Red Hat Academy Learning Platform? That’s typically the first step. Kelly @KellyBarley  usually hosts an introductory session and Q&A for new members, so I’m looping him in for visibility.

Hello @TudorRaduta and thanks.  Yes I am all setup with the Academy and @KellyBarley did outstanding job getting me introduced to the platform.

Next steps is to incorperate the platform into my existing classes (Intro & Advance Linux).  I am in-person instructor so I require slides to teach the students.   I was hoping someone already created them and would share them.

Less important is if someone has created test bank of questions.  I currently use Canvas but I think most LMS have standard import function.

Sorry for so many asks but I am part-time professor and full-time enterprise architect so time is limited. Why reinvent the wheel, right?

Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

Vinnie Terrone
