Red Hat® Academy turns academic institutions into centers for enterprise-ready talent by outfitting them with Red Hat Training and Certification. Through the Red Hat Academy program, more than 20,000 students per year gain access to the value of training and the benefits of certification through hands-on instruction, curriculum, labs, performance-based testing, and instructor support.
The Red Hat Academy curriculum is offered across Red Hat’s most in-demand platform, middleware, and cloud technologies. Select courses and exams are available in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America.
RHA is not just for full time students. I often come across a student that would really benefit from learning a few hours a week over the course of several months instead of the speed of our one week corporate training courses. Some might be ok with RHLS but others would really thrive taking something like Admin I through a local community college. I have often suggested that they look into that option and occationaly find one who gets really excited about the possibilyt. However, we then both find it very frustrating that we have to contact each academic institition to find out if they have the offering. It would be nice is Red Hat had a web page targeted to potential RHA students in addition to the ones listed selling partnerships to the schools. A page that lists participating academic institutions and if not searchable, at least browsable by region.
I am an instructor at a community college who recently converted three courses over to red hat's academy material, and I think a participating list would be wonderful. I have students that are only taking my courses for linux exposure, and aren't even interested in a degree. I'm sure I'd get more like that if more people could find the courses!
As a student, I am very pleased with the Red Hat Academy training program, all the vendor's recommendations are followed here, the courses are taught by certified trainers, training materials from the developer are used, supplemented by the practical experience of Softline specialists.
