Containers are a key technology for the configuration and deployment of applications and microservices. With the release of OpenShift Container Platform 4, the first major OpenShift release in four years, Red Hat has delivered an enterprise Kubernetes platform with full stack automation, an expanded user interface, and simplified installation and updates.

Introduction to Containers, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift (DO180) is the first course in the container adoption journey and introduces students to building and managing containers for deployment on an OpenShift 4 cluster. This course helps students build core knowledge and skills in managing containers through hands-on experience with containers, Kubernetes, and the Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform needed for multiple roles, including developers, administrators and site reliability engineers.

We offering this knowledge for developers, administrators, architects, and site reliability engineers who wish to learn the following skills:

  • Understand container and OpenShift architecture.
  • Create containerized services.
  • Manage containers and container images.
  • Create custom container images.
  • Deploy containerized applications on Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Deploy multi-container applications.
  • Create containerized services using Podman.
  • Manage containers and container images.
  • Create custom container images.
  • Deploy containerized applications on Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Deploy multi-container applications.

This course provides the gateway to organizational and digital transformation by providing an understanding of the potential of DevOps using a container-based architecture. Orchestrating a container-based architecture with Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift improves application reliability and scalability; decreases developer overhead; and facilitates continuous integration and continuous deployment.
