Exam scoring

Jump to solution

Hi all

has anyone has had an exam when they thought they did 100% and did not pass ?

I've failed 425 exam first time, I've rescheduled this today (after centers beeing closed for more 2 months) and now I have retaken the exam.

Now I have done 425 exam, did everything as requested and I got no pass. Ok, I understand I may have missed something but I only got about ~55 of the total score. I had time and double checked everything, everything worked as requested by exam subjects. How it is possible to have 45% difference and not notice?

Does anyone know the procedure to get someone to look over the exam, not just to run the script?

I would like an actual person to check the solutions tell me that I've missed something and not a script because, at this point, I dont trust the script anymore. It is not possible to have such difference when everything works when you're leaving the room.

Had a similar issue with EX280, and twice I got 206. In one of the objectives I was certain of 100% since I tested successfully, but got 33%. I wrote through the link and got the same "unfortunate" remark. I eventually passed EX280, but I do not trust the marking script of EX280.

I am in the same situation as yours. Today I gave the EX280v410 exam and got a fail result which was absolutely shocking for me. Having cleared all questions except one I was expecting the result to be a pass with best of marks. I have raised a request for review and keeping my fingers crossed, however looking at everyones comment here it seems remote for me to get something positive out of my review query.  I have seen and verified each of the questions where it was required to check using a url or curl and it had worked so getting a 0% in networking I am dumb struck. This was my second attempt for the exam.. Cannot afford anymore to try this again. . Cleared CKA,CKS, CKAD, RHCSA 7&8,RHCE , EX180 and it is not that I have never seen failures but this one hit me very hard and put me in disbelief. Even the pod scheduling 43% looks doubtful for me as all checks were fixed and the pods started with http or https route questions addressed to the detail. I am just wondering what I could have done better for a pass score but can't think of any reason as of now.

My result looks like below:

Exam domain number:    8
Passing score:          210
Your score:            188

Result: NO PASS

Performance on exam objectives:

    OBJECTIVE: SCORE
    Manage OpenShift Container Platform: 67%
    Manage users and policies: 100%
    Control access to resources: 86%
    Configure networking components: 0%
    Configure pod scheduling: 43%

I also had the same issue. Though I eventually passed the exam, I do not trust the marking script for EX280.

Dear friends,

I think everyone here have the same experience as you.It is the way of the Redhat exam.We all have been their .As for the evaluation process I hope redhat will improve it   Or apply another layer of evaluation to justify the final result.why not we are living in an age of machine learning and ai  so always there is a way to improve those methodologies. But finally it always better to improve yourself rather than expecting them to improve their approach. If you value ur time..😂

I never got an answer for that request. I've moved on but it is really disapointing that RH doesnt have a standard way for reviewing such requests.

I've taken EX318 with one of my co-workers, both passed but had different scores. We've made mistakes to different sections but when we reviewed how we solved the exam subjects I've found another error/inconsistency.  For me it was not an issue since I've passed the exam with ease however for someone which is close to 210 score this type of error would have a made a difference.

It is a monolopy market situation, when a competitor comes around with their own version of the Redhat exams, the will sit up and fix the scripts or have human grading but until then many hours and effort of intending students will continue to be wasted.

4th attempt at the RHCSA and I am doneOn my last attempt I was so sure that I passed that gave myself a mental pat on the back in the last seconds of the test No th script said, not so fast.My employer dont need me to have it and only a very minute employers require it.As long as it doesnt affect my ability to secure a job,I am OK without it

Hi,

Is there any way we can get justification for the Exam results ?

To my knowledge, i have done everything correct and i am unable to judge where i made mistake.

I opened the ticket and they said like as below.

"At your request I reviewed the results of your exam.
Unfortunately, I have found that the results reported to you are
accurate.

Red Hat Certification Central reports the candidate's performance only
in aggregate, performance on individual exam criteria is not provided
to the candidate"

Thanks.

Unfortunately not, that is as far as you can get. Face it myself.
