All,
We did experience a Lab outage this weekend. Our cloud provider performed a maintenance, after which we needed to restart services. However, it appears we were not notified in the same ways as usual by them, and as a result, were suprised by the result. We know the root cause (Cloud Provider Maintenance) but are still working on our internal resolution for how we keep this from happening again.
In the past, we get a notification from our provider of the schedule, we put a banner announcement on the platform with information about it for you all (so you know it's happening as well) along with a description of impact. Then, after the cloud provider completed maintanance, we do some testing to verify that we're back at normal operations, then update the platform banner to inform you all that we're resuming normal operations. But, if we don't know that a maintenance is happening, all the other stuff, obviously did not get done...
