Scheduled Individual Exam for DO188 would like to switch to testing center option.

I have scheduled to take an individual exam for DO188 at the end of January. I received the confirmation email stating the exam is scheduled. However, when selecting a date & time I didn't see an option to select scheduling for a testing center. Is there an extra step necessary for this option?

It would seem that you selected a "remote exam" for scheduling. If you chose a "remote" exam, that does not provide you with a testing center as you told the scheduler you will be using your own environment to take the exam with your laptop. You need a KIOSK exam schedule to be able to pick a training facility. So when you are scheduling the exam for a KIOSK it will ask you for locations and select a testing center and then you can confirm date/time.

It is possible this was missed or you might have scheduled based on day/time you wanted to take an exam and you went to a "remote" exam because a training facility wasn't available for scheduling.

Please see this image. If you choose remote, you cannot choose a testing center. You must choose "Testing Center" to pick a location.
