System Registration is required for Lab - Red Hat System Administration I

Jump to solution

Hi everyone,

Recently, I started following the course RH124 and cannot access the lab. It is asking for system registration.  If I try to register the system, my login name and password are wrong. (see screenshot)

Could someone  please tell me which credentials I should enter in Login and password cell?

Thanks in advance.

You need to ignore the System Registration message that comes up for the labs. The systems are setup to receive updates from the classroom system, so there is no need to register the system to the Red Hat CDN (Content Delivery Network).

You should be able to click the "Cancel" and the "X" to exit the registration process. After doing that, you should be able to access everything on the system and complete the labs. The registration message was not supposed to be visible in our newer RHEL9 lab systems, but it is possible something was missed.

Hi Travis,

Thank you for your reply.  Indeed,  the system registration is not required for the lab. Here is two screenshots that might be difficult for somone else to see the close (X) on poping up warning.

With this I would like to note the administrators following:

1. The close (X) sign is not appearing when it pops up.

2. Only when you hover the mouse over the warning, it appears in small tag that  barely hits the eye right away taking into account the color.

Kind regards,

Kanu
