'provision lab' time about 15 minutes?

I'm working my way through do407 in my spare time. I've provisioned the lab a few times now.

Seems to me like you can open a console on the Ravello network after a minute or two. But it takes up to 15 minutes for the workstation to get to a login prompt.

And if half an hour goes by, something's gone wrong.

What is your experience?

Re: 'provision lab' time about 15 minutes?

More or less the same. It takes time to provision the lab (regardless of the course).

Every time I need to re-create the lab I simply reset all VMs. It seems to take less time than to delete and then provision the lab.

Re: 'provision lab' time about 15 minutes?

I've had the same complaint.  If you take into consideration the amount of time it takes to power on servers, you're wasting 10-15% of your allotted lab time.  Red Hat should give credit for the awful provisioning/poweron time.

Re: 'provision lab' time about 15 minutes?

I started provisioning my lab at 4AM.  at 6AM it was provisioned but not started.  I tried to start it and waited an hour.  It wouldn't start.  I deleted the envronment at 8 AM and restarted the provisioning at 8 AM.  It's still running at 10AM.  This is very frustrating.

Re: 'provision lab' time about 15 minutes?

Thank you.  It worked this morning.  Now, I have to re-provision after an outage and it's been running for 35 minutes.  I'll let it go for the hour, take down the session and retry.  Why is it taking so long?

The same for me. I am waiting and waiting for the Lab  cl210

I only hope the counter is starting when all nodes in lab are up and operational.
