EX316 Exam Environment scenario

Hi everyone.

I'm looking for advice about the exam environment please, to ensure I understand how it works prior to taking the EX316 OpenShift Virtualization exam...

The exam access is via my PC browser, the instructions describe the remote server environment that I need to use during the exam, including where assets such as ssh public keys are stored.

When I access the OpenShift web console (via my PC browser), and click into any dialogue that requires a file to be selected from a specific server, I only see my PC's home directory ... so how do I connect to another server / see the home file directory, to enable the selection of a file ?

I'm not asking how to answer a question, this is more about using the exam environment.

Does anyone have any tips / thoughts about how I get round this please ??

Hello @fedora_shrimp 

You will need to boot from the EXAM USB Thumb drive, which you should prepare a few days in advance to resolve any potential compatibility issues with your computer.

When you boot from the USB drive, you will see two options:

• Run the Compatibility Test

• Enter the Exam

That's all you need to know about accessing the exam. The exam instructions should be clear, so there is no need to worry about the text. Just read them carefully and follow the steps provided. While you are not asking a question, navigating the exam environment and understanding the instructions are part of the process. 

Again. Do not worry. You will get all you need. Just read carefully.

@fedora_shrimp You do not need to worry about ssh keys or any files that you need to copy from one server to another. Why ? because you will have access to exam instructions which contains all the necessary information you need to take the exam. 

If you have access to DO316 course and its labs - you will get to know some idea about  how it will be in the exam - the env is not largely different from the course labs. 

Thats all that can be divulged about the exam env due to the NDA.

@fedora_shrimp None of the certification exams are accessable from normal web browser. You need to create live USB with the exam image (ISO) and boot from it to get into the exam environment. And that will have all the pre-requisites essential to take the exam.

Since you're using web browser from your PC you're getting your PC's home directory
