Hello everyone,
I’m preparing to take a Red Hat Remote Exam and I would like to clarify some rules to make sure I fully comply with the exam requirements:
I want to ensure I follow all policies correctly and avoid any issues during the exam.
Thank you in advance for your guidance and for sharing your experience.
Best regards,
AnhMinh245
@AnhMinh245 You can get all official answers ( FAQs ) here : https://learn.redhat.com/t5/Certification-Resources/Getting-Ready-for-your-Red-Hat-Certification-Rem...
1. The break is not a mandatory thing - it is for your use if you need it for purpose like using restroom etc. There is no hard and fast rule that can tell you what you need to do in your break time - it is upto you and your time management ( given exam clock will be running in break time as well ). What you should not do is obvious like cheating, murmuring, discussing or any thing which can hamper your exam process or even the results.
2. Yes.
3. Again, you need to inform the proctor in advance before the exam starts and do as advised / suggested by the proctor.
- Break time is optional and benefit provided to candidates to ease out the exam tension in between. However, as mentioned it will not stop the clock. Your exam time will keep running even during the break.
- You should inform proctor, take permission and then leave for break if you want to.
- You can take maximum of 10 minutes break for every 1 hour of the exam (Next break can be taken only after 1 hour)
- You're allowed to leave your seat and go out during the break and should be back within 10 minutes.
- Don't interact with anyone while on break. Mainly do not use your mobile phone during the break. If you're caught, there are chances that proctor may terminate your exam
- Having food/snacks during the exam is not allowed. However, you can have bottle of water or any non-alcoholic beverages. You must show it to the proctor during the room scan and better to take permission before using it during the exam
