October 5th. My ticket has been eventually closed.

It'd have been very kind to be notified by mail the changes in the objectives if you happen to be one of those who book an exam the first month after publishing new objectives. May be next time.

Hi @Undive ,

As @davman has pointed out, All RHCSA RHEL8 exams scheduled from October onwards will include container content. The exam duration has also been increased from 2.5 hours to 3 hours to accommodate additional content. These changes were announced a few weeks ago - https://www.redhat.com/en/blog/level-your-red-hat-enterprise-linux-skills-containers

Hi,

I have Red Hat Learning Subscription which is valid till 2020.11.22.

I've enroled for the EX200 exam and now it says that the expiration date for this enrollment is 2021.05.27. Does it mean that even though my learning subscription ends in november 2020 I can still try to pass the exam after this date?

Thank you for help,

Marek

Hi @BeMarek ,

Yes, that is correct.
The exam eligibilities usually expire along with the subscription but Red Hat has now extended the exam eligibilities by 180 days, so the exams can be scheduled after your learning subscription ends.

However, please note that access to the labs will be lost once the subscription ends and you will not be able to swap the exam eligibility to a different exam.
For specific questions around the extension, I would encourage you to contact the support team.

Thank you @vishals for such a prompt reply.

What about 2 retakes which I have in the subscription. Will I be eglible to use them even after my subscription ends?

Hi @BeMarek ,

They can only be used if you have enrolled in them before the subscription ends. Unused retakes cannot be utilized after the end of subscription.

That’s right. But you won’t be able to study during that gap just take the exam.

Hello,

While I am in the exam, Can I use information commands such as “man, ansible-doc, info ” during the exam?

If we can, could you explain whether using these commands have any effect on the score what we will get at the end of the exam or not?

Thanks.

Remzi

I don't think that using man/info/other docs was prohibited/restricted somehow on exams.

I'm doing it on all my exams and I had few 300/300s so there's no "penalty" on using manuals.

Moreover - they don't expect you to know all the switches, options etc. for each and every command/module. The beauty of practical exam is that you have to know how to configure the particular part of OS and NOT to memorize sequences of commands.

There's one "BUT" - you have to know where to find this information because searching for something you're not aware of is time consuming. So I'd recommend to get familiar with the docs and not memorize them.

The "power of admin" includes also an ability to find the information not only knowledge "how to use ls or reboot".
