Agreed. I had the EXACT same issue and had to reschedule. My DSL connection is too slow. My celluar LTE connection is fast enough but latency might be an issue depending on the distance of the server I have to connect to for the exam. Seems like a no-win situation for those who need to test remotely.
Hopefully someone from the Red Hat team will see your post @Hina and offer a better solution.
I had to take an exam today at 09:00 UTC.
After booting from the exam ISO and passing all compatibility checks, the button your exam says "you have no exam scheduled in the next 6 hours" ...
I have chatted with the support, they told me that the exam will not take place today, didn't understand why... Support advises me that I need to raise a ticket and reschedule my exam.
It's really frustrating after all the preparation and requirements that must be met.
After I raised the ticket, should wait up to 3 business days ...
If RedHat have some "technical issues" with delivering the exam, is it that hard to inform the affected people?!
Hi @mrpelovski
I'm sorry about your experience and the delayed response.
Looking at your exam time, I believe your exam was scheduled right when the training and certification team had an unexpected outage and we were forced to reschedule exams.
I understand your frustration but the team was trying to reach upcoming testers to inform about the situation.
The three day waiting time is an auto-response while creating the ticket and I'm sure you must have recieved a response much before.
Regards
Thank you again. Do you think that means I am now safe to reschedule and test?
Hi
I have the EX200 Certification Exam soon. it is Remote, and I was sent an iso image I need to burn to a USB Drive and boot with it for the exam. I was told to download and use the Fedora Media Writer to burn the iso image. I did burn the image and, according to Fedora Media Writer, it went fine. But I can't boot with the USB Drive. When I reboot my laptop, the option to boot from my USB Drive shows up, I select it, but nothing happens, everytime I select it, it immediately comes back to the Menu of bootable media prompting me to choose one. Please advise. I've tried with several other USB Drives with same results.
thanks in Advance
If it can't boot, you may want to try to mount the USB drive to see if there is even a file system. Otherwise, try using the dd command method instead of the media writer to write the image into the USB drive.
Hi @Lisette ,
You might also want to try using the older image version, which is secure boot compliant.
Regards,
Hi there!
I'll be taking the AD248 Exam soon and I was wondering if a built-in webcam will be enough or I'm forced to buy a webcam from Amazon or similar. If that happens to be the case, does anybody have any suggestion for a good webcam?
Thank you in advance!

I use logitech c930e without any issue.

My advice is logitech c930e.
Good luck.

Hey there.
I bought Logitech C922 Pro HD stream Webcam(1080p) from Best Buy for my RHCSA exam that I passed today remotely. That webcam has a clear resolution with microphone intergrated. I mean, I had a good experience with it during my exam
I hope that helps!
