Assuming no hardware issues, it is likely your ISO was corrupted. I would recommend re-downloading it and writing it into the USB stick again (preferably a new stick to rule out the problem with the old one).

Hi,

If there are any suspicion that the ISO was/is corrupted, then there is a simple verification check: calculate the sha256sum (or using the older, deprecated md5sum as indicated in the getting ready guide):

Look page 27:

How do I check the integrity of the remote exam live USB image I have
downloaded?
The MD5 checksum for the Live USB Image is: 0dd72ac558fc1afbf0c0e1fa4b366f10.

I have verified for you, at the time of writing the md5sum of the currently available iso found at "https://static.redhat.com/downloads/training-certification/rhrexboot.iso" (as indicated in the prep guide) is indeed: 0dd72ac558fc1afbf0c0e1fa4b366f10.

Cheers,

Can someone please help me?? I've been begging support for help for almost a week. My exam was cancelled due to technical difficulties but I've been given no information as to what was going on. When trying to launch my exam, it immediately errored out saying there was an internal error. I've been waiting to reschedule to make sure it wasn't an error on my end and support hasn't responded to my ticket at all.

Thank you, I believe the Media error means that the application is unable to view camera feeds. Were you able to see the video feeds during the compatibility check.

In any case, I have alerted my team and you should have an update soon.

When I did the compatibility test both 2 days prior to exam, and day of exam, I was able to see camera and screen share feeds just fine. The compatibility test returned errors, and when I contacted support they told me to ignore the errors that it would be fine. Then when I proceeded to attempt to launch the exam, it gave the error detailed above.

Hi Team,

Please let me know if I am allowed to use desktop instead laptop. If so, I would need to have 2 external cameras, one for the display and one for the desk? Please let me know. I read the specific Red Hat document towards remote exams and there is keyword like "computer" or "laptop". Want to be 100% sure that combination above will fit the requirements.

Best regards,

Patryk

If I am not mistaken, you are allowed to use any compatible workstation
(desktop/laptop).
Only one external camera is required and it should be able to cover you and
the workstation.

Anyway, wait for some moderators to confirm this :)
