Hi,
I am using a laptop with external monitor. In this set up I am asked to use a wired keyboard and a wired mouse and keep the laptop lid closed. I also have a external webcam. But since my laptop lid is closed what about the 2 camera requirement.
Hi @chrishemb ,
If you read just 1 post above yours, there's a link to official document and information that there's only 1 external webcam required.
I am not sure why you are saying that there is a "2 camera requirement", that is not currently accurate.
Hope that clarifies,
PS: your setup appears to be ok, wired keyboard, wired mouse, laptop lid closed, external monitor, external webcam. That's also how I attend Remote Exams.
After i boot the device using live usb (fedora). my compatibility check keep failing. fedora did not identify my laptop microphone and sound output. external devices also didnot worked. Please help !!
Hi there,
If you are on a Macbook, many Mac models do now work well with linux and its microphone may not be compatible with the remote exam image. If your external camera has an inbuilt, you can try to use it as the mic source.
If all fails, try using a basic wired earphones which have mic builtin as the input mic source.
Regards,
Hey all, I have some questions.
1) I have scheduled my exam and on that probably it might be bad weather so till what time I can reschedule the exam.
2) Is the connection of cable important, as I am having a very good wireless connection and also I'm giving this exam from RedHat ThinkPad so there is no slot for that cable.
3) How to copy-paste in remote exams. Any solution.
Thanks
1. Should be before 24 hours else you wont see a reschedule option (as of my knowledge)
2. If your WiFi is good and you are confident, use that. Test with the Exam ISO and do compatibility check to ensure this. (I had some issue during an exam as the terminal was super slow, so in the middle of exam, I plugged the LAN cable !!!, even I am using a 1GBPS broadband connection)
3. Try the mouse right click, and see what is the option available. as per my experience,
hope this will help
Hi
