Hi,

I'm having troubles to schedule my retake. I have opened a couple tickets over a week ago and received no response. Can you assist?

Hi @gilbion ,

It seems the proper way to contact the scheduling team is this:

For questions on scheduling or redeeming your exams,  please use the Red Hat Certification team comment form here.

Have you tried that?

Hi @JS_Learning ,

Yes, I opened a first ticket (RHT1235666) open on 08/03 that was handled by a couple people and closed by them improperly. It was reopen, but never got an update after the reopen request.

For that reason, I opened a new request (RHT1238894) on 08/7, but it never received any updates from the day it was open.

Then I tried a slack channel with other students, and they told me to post a question in this entry.

So I just attempted to take my exam but ended up having it cancelled due to technical issues. Just wondering, are there any ports I should have forwarded or anything in prep for the test? I've had issues all the way through this test setup process and support reassured me every single ticket that it would be fine.

Hi,

I will share the feedback with the right team but I want to highlight that toggle feature was not working for me on windows 10. I wasn't able to toggle between browser and terminal window. Any advice?

Thanks in Advance!

Hi @PraveenMishra ,

Thanks for the feedback,

Could you kindly explain what you mean by "Toggle feature" and why you are mentioning Windows 10?

Were you using the Remote Exam live environment?

Hi,

My concern is that I was not able to toggle between exam window and the terminal, also, one screen is not enough to work comfortably.

I am sorry for mentioning windows 10, that's pointless, I don't know why I did that.

Hi @PraveenMishra ,

I believe the idea of allowing only a single screen was to have the testing experience similar between remote and testing center exams. There are also current technical limitations in enabling monitoring of multiple screens, which have been pushed back to prioritize migrating certifications to the remote environment.

Keyboard shortcuts to toggle windows are disabled on purpose on the remote exam image. Candidates (including me) have expressed an inconvenience with this and the feedback has been passed to the team. I would also encourage you to report feedback, so that it gains traction.
Meanwhile using the 'Activities hot corner' can help in toggling between windows.

Hi @yusuf-yazici ,

I think the answer is no, based on the rules:

Webcam: One external webcam with at least a 1m cable

Source: https://learn.redhat.com/t5/Certification-Resources/Getting-Ready-for-your-Red-Hat-Remote-Exam/ba-p/...

I also do not see where one would configure that in that secure Remote Exams live environment...

Having said that maybe it's worth to clarify or modify the Getting Ready document, explicitally commenting on the use of IP Webcams?

@shefeeqyr Could you kindly consolidate my answer?

Cheers,
