Anyone try to reset root password of servera in chapter 11 using lab exercise? guided exercise showing reseting of root password in workstation.

Hi!

I can't see any problems with lab exercise asking for resetting root password in a server other than servera. Couldn't you reset the password out there due to an error or something like that? Can you post some more details about it?

Hello Team, 

I have faced an issue with rd.break  in rhcsa200 exam.

The steps were perfect but it was asking for a password for maintenance mode. System issue.

It isn't an "issue" with the OS per se, it was a deliberate change that Red Hat did for for RHEL 9.0.

It is an issue with the lab instructions. the rd.break method does not work with RHEL 9.0. It does work with RHEL 8.x. It also works with RHEL 9.1 and 9.2 (Red Hat changed things back).

The lab environment still runs 9.0.
