AI267 course missing graded end-of-chapter labs and compreview labs

Jump to solution

I've recently completed the AI267 course with RHOAI 2.13 and RHOCP 4.16.

One thing I've noticed is this course is missing the graded end-of-chapter labs found in the other OpenShift courses I have taken thus far (DO180, DO280, DO188, DO288, DO370). I've checked the EX267 exam readiness as well and it's missing the comprehensive review checklist as well.

Understandable that this is a relatively new course but I'd like to know if there are plans to introduce such labs in the current or some future version of the course? I personally find the graded labs and compreview labs tremendously useful in gauging my current level of understanding of the course content. Thanks!

Thank you for adding me, @TudorRaduta
And for your feedback, @donaldsebleung   I am glad you have found the end of course labs effective for gauging your level of understanding across other courses!

The OpenShift AI AI267 course is a challenge to build a similar lab, due to the relatively rapid changing features and uses of OCP AI, balanced with the development effort.
We will explore how to add this to the future update in 2026 with the new Red Hat AI product feature releases in the new year.
Note we are in the middle of a significant update to this course now to OCP AI version 2.25, and will be releasing that in January - it will not yet have an end of course lab included however since we are over mid-way through development.

Your feedback will help us prioritize exploring effective ways to add this lab, thank you!

@cschunke is this feedback something that should come your way, or would it be better directed to someone else, maybe Pat @patsharp?

Thanks, great to hear that graded labs are planned for AI267 in 2026. Despite missing the graded labs currently, the guided labs were excellent as always along with the course content.

I spent two nights compiling an "un-guided" version of the labs for self-studying the exam I'm planning to attempt next Monday and it has been working great for me, would definitely recommend for anyone else planning to take the EX267 exam.

As an aside, I would like to thank Red Hat for offering such high quality courses and certifications on Linux, Kubernetes and open source technology. I've passed the CNCF Kubernetes certifications previously (CKA, CKAD, CKS) and they definitely helped me understand Kubernetes itself but raised a new question: where does Kubernetes fit in the larger organizational context and how to deploy, operate and integrate it with the rest of the IT environment efficiently? Taking the Red Hat OpenShift courses not only helped me fill this crucial gap but also (indirectly) improved other areas of my IT skillset such as virtualization, cloud, networking, storage and security.

@donaldsebleung

Thanks for sharing this. Your feedback means a lot. It is great to hear that the guided labs and course content helped you, and your idea of creating an unguided lab set is impressive and very helpful for others preparing for EX267.

Also appreciate your note on how OpenShift training closed the real world gap left by pure Kubernetes study. That perspective helps many learners understand why this path matters.
