RHCE - EX294

Jump to solution

Hi everyone,

I'm taking the course RH294 and I'd like to know how is the best way to study and pass the EX294. It would be great if you give me any advice about it.

Thanks!

Hello @Prema !

"Personally I think those exams are controled by people, with no ansible knowledge, which just run some script and if there is some error (even on redhat side), you got fail."

This is 100% a wrong assumption.

We have hundreds of learners who not only passed this exam , but passed with very good score, many even got full marks.

Rest assured - Our examination team comprises of the best-in-class domain experts.

I will suggest you to revisit those objectives in the course which you think you got less in your score card. Sometimes we think we know it well and then do some silly mistakes which usually gets overlooked by us.

If you feel you did everything right - you can raise a case here : https://rhtapps.redhat.com/comments

Hi @Chetan_Tiwary_

let me explain my conecrns
first I'm taking about version EX294V84K - so older version of exam
for example ahoc task: first time I created files and distributed them over by adhoc ansible command - and got 17%
so on retake I created directly those files by ansible ( blockinfile ) - and got 17%
and if you search for google, everybody got 17% for adhoc tasks in results ... kind of weird
also taks with templates, I manage to created it - lost most of time on it (I did not completely remeber template syntax those brackets ..) , but was successful, generated files (I confirmed by logging to servers and checking results - and got 0% in results, weird again.
I complained about results, but got just reply "your results are correct, we can not tell you anyting" ... I would say, nobody event bother to check it.

EX294K means remote (from home) or kiosk (from a testing location). Once you enroll, you should receive an email or see in your exam scheduler when/how your exam is going to be delivered.

Content wise, you should review:

Exam description: https://www.redhat.com/en/services/training/ex294-red-hat-certified-engineer-rhce-exam-red-hat-enter...

Exam objectives: https://www.redhat.com/en/services/training/ex294-red-hat-certified-engineer-rhce-exam-red-hat-enter...

You can base your learning on the table of contents for the related course RH294: https://www.redhat.com/en/services/training/rh294-red-hat-linux-automation-with-ansible?section=Outl... . Also review the relevant product documentation at https://docs.redhat.com and https://docs.ansible.com , if you haven't attended the trainig.

At any rate, it feels that just one week won't be enough to prepare all those materials. My suggestion is to postpone the exam so you are more prepared and have had enough time to review all those topics.
