Does the EX210 v16 will extend the EX310 v10 (retired exam)?

Hello!

I've searching for several discussions related to EX310 certification[1][2][3], but still haven't found the answer yet.

I have EX210 and EX310 certification that will expired soon, around July, 2024.
Based on the information that I got, currently there is no other certification that will extend OpenStack related certificates, so the only way is re-certification. *CMIIW

I see the EX310v10 exam is extending my EX210v13 validity before. However, since the EX310 certification has been retired and there is no information regarding the updated version of EX310, so far. Will the re-certification of EX210v16 extend the EX310 certificate validity as well? since it's still an OpenStack learning/certification path.

Generally speaking a lower-level exam doesn't extend a higher exam. As @Chetan_Tiwary_ mentioned before, the certification team is always the definitive source of truth and information. The reason the EX310 would extend the EX210 previously was because it was considered the RHCSA/RHCE in OpenStack. I was one of those people that benefitted from that. However, the renewal/extension of the certification would not have flowed the other way.

The same is true for the RHCSA certification. Once you become an RHCE or an RHCA, any advanced exam will automatically extend the RHCSA or the RHCE (or both). For example, if I take an advanced exam (RH403, DO467 or something else), the RHCE and RHCSA dates are extended to the expiration of the most recently passed exam.
