Managing Shared File Systems

Hello,

Regarding CL210 Red Hat OpenStack Administration II

in Guided Exercise: Managing Shared File Systems

it is stated as an important note:

To dynamically scale the share nodes, set driver_handles_share_servers to true.

but when I try with  driver_handles_share_servers to true   instead of False

I am receiving the following error.

error manila manilaexception: driver does not support mode driver_handles_shared_servers=True

how am I supposed to test it?

Best Regards,

Serkan

Hi,

As per my knowledge this feature for dynamically scalling the storage part is not available in Ceph Storage so thats why we can not put the value for driver_handles_share_servers "true" but If you want to try then you should go with another back end solution for Manila like "NetApp" there you can make it true and play arround it.
