Course Overview 

Red Hat OpenShift Administration I: Operating a Production Cluster (DO180) prepares you to perform day-to-day management of Kubernetes workloads and collaborate with Developers, DevOps Engineers, System Administrators, and SREs to ensure the availability of application workloads. This new version focuses on managing typical end-user applications that are often accessible from a web or mobile UI and represent the majority of cloud native and containerized workloads. You will also learn how to deploy and update application dependencies such as databases, messaging, and authentication systems.

The topics covered in this course are applicable to managed OpenShift products such as Red Hat OpenShift on AWS (ROSA) & Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) and self-managed OpenShift Container Platform.

This course is based on Red Hat OpenShift 4.18

@Emily Can we also get some info on some changes that we can see in this course version compared to the last version 4.14 ?

@Emily Can you please confirm if there is still an EX180 exam? I know it went away and is said to be replaced by DO188 and EX188. If that is the case is DO180 just a prep course before you take 188? And if that's the case is there a EX280 for the DO280 course? 

Its kind of confusing when courses or exams go away b/c there is no place to track that at a glance.

@joalexan Great question! At this time, we do not have an active EX180 certification exam. The last opportunity to purchase or claim an eligibility for the previous EX180 was technically around December 2022. DO188 and the associated EX188 are not direct replacements for the previous EX180, but when they were originally released, they did include some similar content while we were separating our OpenShift Administrator and Developer tracks. 

And yes, we do have an EX280, which is our Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator exam, but we recommend both DO180 and DO280 to prepare for this exam. We do appreciate the feedback for tracking changes like this, though, and I will be sure to pass it along internally here at Red Hat!
