Course DO316 Chapter 9 Slide 04 -  Guided Exercise: Perform Node Maintenance

This is just after the node maintenane operator is put to use in 9.1 it says scheduling is disabled and in the next 9.2 it says vmi is moved to different node.

9.2 Go to Virtualization → VirtualMachines, and confirm that the VM is running on a different node from the previous step.

I don't see this movement of vmi happening after putting node in maintenance using operator. The vmi is still on the same node with scheduling disabled. Is there something wrong in my lab or is the 9.2 step wrongly mentioning vm movement after node in maintenance using operator.

I tried it again and it worked now. Don't know what was wrong earlier. The node got scheduled but pod eviction to other node did not happen earlier. It is working as per lab now and VM is moved to other node.
