EX294 Exam Environment Timing Out!

I took the EX294V9K last week and had the worst Red Hat exam experience I have ever had!  The exam environment literally timed out twice during the exam.  I had to reload the environment both times.  I was fortunate the proctor was very understanding and didn't penalize me.  This is the first time this has ever happened to me.  Has this happen to anybody else?

Hello, I think we had some outage caused by 3rd party. This is inconvenient, of course. Why the candidate should be penalized? On the contrary, the proctor will add the time you loose for the reboot, If necessary, you will be allowed to reschedule. But it is individual. I think issues may happen and Redhat always tries to help

Same issue happened with me today. It kept timing out for 30+ mins and the proctor only added 5 mins with the comment “get better internet next time”

Absolutely unprofessional and absurb.

My internet was working perfectly fine, I was texting with the proctor, he could see my cameras, but still had the audacity to blame my internet.

Sorry to hear you had such an experience. Did you contact RH support at certification-team@redhat.com or at the support chat? I am sure that if you do it shortly after the exam, it may all be investigated. How do you know your internet was good? I believe the proctors are experienced and can recognize a network issue.

Unfortunately I do not have a discount code.  My job pays for the testing.

A similar and frustating situation happenned to me last year.

I was wrting the EX358 exam, sitting at a Red Hat training partner.
They advice me that they were facing Internet connection problems, and that being aware they made sure to cope for that.

But I faced several outages and long delays.
Obviously the proctor took that in account and ensured me that he has added the required time.

But still failed that attempt.
Actually I do not blame the time, but the loss of focus, concentration and required commitment for such exams.
And I know that it is difficult for Red Hat to easily handle that.

I rescheduled a rewrite few months later, and passed.
