EX442 - Red Hat Performance Tuning - How difficult is it?

Hi

Having recently earned my RHCE certification, I'm currently working towards RHCA.

I am interested in studying for the EX442 - Red Hat Performance Tuning: Linux in Physical, Virtual, and Cloud certification.

If anyone in the community has taken the exam or gained the certification, I would like to know how difficult you found the exam compared to other exams you have taken.

PLEASE NOTE: I am NOT asking about ANY specific exam questions or the exam environment as I know this is in breach of the NDA.

I have heard that the EX442 is one of the most difficult exams so wondered how it compared to others such as the EX342 Diagnostics and Troubleshooting (I have a colleague who said the EX342 was the most challenging they have taken so far!).

Also, if you did not find the exam too difficult, was there any particular reason? For example; you had done a lot of the topic area as part of your day job before undertaking the training; experience counts!

Any points of view welcome.

Thank you for reading

AA

@Ad_astra No doubt it is one of the toughest we have in our exam catalog. For some reason, I find it less tough than the EX415 ( old one v7.5 ) , having said that it is definitely tougher than EX342 as it tests your ability to use standard system tools to analyze the performance of RHEL and its applications. And, also validates the knowledge needed to use standard system tools and mechanisms to modify the behavior of the system and applications to improve performance.

I only referenced the RH442 course, coupled it with official docs, man page and some articles online and I was able to clear it ( though not a  decent score I got ).

@Chetan_Tiwary_ Many thanks for your reply. That is just the sort of answer that I was looking for. If anyone else can share their learning experience or advice, that would also be good!

Regards
