That's interesting @JEscalona as it's one camera that Red Hat have said works for others. My other new camera is a new Logitech C920 - which didn't work either.
It seems this is a known issue - despite Red Hat saying they have never seen it before. Despite having a MacBook Pro, a Dell Latitude and two brand new external webcams I very much doubt I will be able to take the exam tomorrow.
I have a Logitech C920 and I can confirm it works fine with the image.
When you use it @KrisS which camera is found in the compatibility test?
The compatibility test on mine finds both the onboard camera and the logitech C920. But this is on a very old laptop. You may have some other hardware incompatibilty.
As mentioned @KrisS I have two separate laptops and two external webcams.
I have spent most of the last two days trying to get the configuration working instead of getting ready for the exam. There is zero help from Red Hat on such issues which is disappointing.
I can imagine that must be frustrating. Its for that reason I deliberately chose to use the oldest pc in the house... i had to dig it out of storage, i'm surprised it still powers on.
I am using an HP Omen laptop. I could use a MacBook Pro, but I trusted more the HP for this because the Mac only has usb C ports and I would need a dongle to connect anything to it
For reference the laptop i am using is a Samsung Q330. It is usb2 only. maybe the issue is with usb3.
These are all USB2.
Hello,
One question about the environment. I`ve red that laptop (with lid closed) with external monitor is allowed, I know that.
I`m wondering is it allowed to have an exam in the office (alone) with multiple monitors which are powered off and not on the same table where I`m sitting, but distanced ~2m on the left or right ?
Thanks.
