I have a exam this friday, it downloaded a new version of the iso, booted it, but the comp check says my internet connection is not fast enough. (i need 4g or 1M connection it says), everything else is green, could it be the wifi check?

Which i kind of strange, because i have my laptop wired  and a FTTH 100/100MB connection which is more then fast enough.

<update>
i had a chat with support, the servers are to busy to i could ignore the issue

Hello @rmokkink ,

I'm glad you got your answer from one of the support staff.
It appears the compatibility test has been tweaked and the speed requirements have been made tougher than they should have been. As long as you have decent connection speeds, please ignore this error for now and we will soon have this false error fixed.

Regards,

You don’t need to install the OS. It will be a Live Os (like any other Live
Os)

It won’t install anything on your local machine.. even it won’t touch any
files or disks. (You cannot access your local hard disk basically)

You just need a laptop or workstation with accessories as needed.

Is network cable connection really mandatory?

I mean nowadays wifi is pretty stable, never had a problems with it since mid 2000s. Plus I can use my phone usb modem as fallback in case of any trouble (wich most likely won't be).

On the other hand I'm having additional problems connecting cable to my laptop because I need an adapter and I don't have cable on premise and even if I find all of this I'm not sure this solution will be stable.

As per the student guide, it is not mandatory to have a wired connection
but strongly recommended to avoid network slowness and glitches. As we all
now the exam will happen in remote workstation and network speed is needed
to get proper access, camera and desktop streaming etc.

The ideal way is to boot and do compatibility test multiple times days
before the exam. In case you have any slowness you will get enough time to
fix and troubleshoot.

In case helpful:

Hi, I'm preparing for the EX294 exam. This is the RHCE certification exam, with a lot of Ansible used. Will the Ansible documentation provided in a browsable HTML form for this exam?

TIA,
