As it was stated by @Gineesh, you need a second camera as the proctor needs to have a wider view of your environment.
And exam requires that you boot from a USB drive to access the exam, so you do need to have a free USB slot as well USB drive with the installed exam OS. Until then, I would recommend you postpone your exam if you don't get either item.
Hi @Rima ,
I see other answered, unfortunately without quoting the official information:
You should consult the official document:
Remote Exams Preparation Ebook
Extract: "Webcam: One external webcam with at least a 1m cable."
Borrow one to someone you know if you can...
If you choose to buy a webcam, one of the learner, @PiotrS made a topic with hardware recommendations: RedHat-Remote-Exam-supported-hardware-cameras-mice-keyboards
That should help you also,
Hi,
I am using a laptop with external monitor. In this set up I am asked to use a wired keyboard and a wired mouse and keep the laptop lid closed. I also have a external webcam. But since my laptop lid is closed what about the 2 camera requirement.
Hi @chrishemb ,
If you read just 1 post above yours, there's a link to official document and information that there's only 1 external webcam required.
I am not sure why you are saying that there is a "2 camera requirement", that is not currently accurate.
Hope that clarifies,
PS: your setup appears to be ok, wired keyboard, wired mouse, laptop lid closed, external monitor, external webcam. That's also how I attend Remote Exams.
Hi -
I'm getting an "Error 36: Rebuild USB Drive" on my Mac.
I've seen that some other user were able to make it work with an older ISO version. Where can I download the previous ISO, which is also allowed for the exam?
Thank you
I uses MacBook Pro. I run a Compatibility Test in the Remote Exam Live Environment ISO image. But my Mac keyboard doesn't work. Mouse works. I can proceed settings page, but could not red hat account login because key board does not work.
Could you give me any advice?
No, I didn't check the guide on that issue. Could you let me know that known issue?
