Dear Team,

I am planning to take an exam using desktop with external device and I know that one camera can be allowed. Not two like in case of laptop with external one + internal. Please let me know if I could laverage brio Logitech 4k that has 90 degree view and need USB 3 (I do have such port) bearing in mind that OS will be in memory mentioned one will be fit? Thank You very much in advance. Still one external camera when using desktop is allowed I assume. The idea is to buy the one that has 90 degree to ensure all will be fine during the remote exam.

Regards,

Patryk

May I use browser bookmarks for the allowed documentation pages?

It's a closed exam environment, your exam machines will be disconnected from the internet. All you need should be within your local exam environments, man pages, /usr/share/doc, and most likely, you will have links to pdf or HTML files for product docs. You need to be efficient and know where the information is and how to search for them effectively.

It will be a closed exam environment and the exam will be happening in a
Live OS booted from your USB boot !
That means any of your system files or data will not be available inside
the exam environment. Learn how to find help from man pages and available
documentations (inside exam environment if any)

Is there any problem if the operating system of the computer is Windows 11?

It doesn't matter, because you will be booting into a Linux environment using the Red Hat exam environment. The exam environment will leave your Windows 11 alone and you will be able to get back to it when you are done with the exam.

Could someone recommend additional set or real life scenario excercises that I could use to practice additinoally to what RedHat offers in the DO180 course?

I mean - if it is possible to get a deployment of podman on Centos in a cloud like Azure, where I could go practice real-life scenarios in some sort of a VM

Thanks,

Bart

I used wsl2 (Linux in Windows) and podman.

For openshift you can try CodeReady Containers

Yes, as @MarkosS suggested, use Red Hat OpenShift CodeReady Containers.

See how you can install it on Linux or macOS:

I tried to take the RHCSA today, and took it with the remote option, from home. I had a very hard time interacting with the test. First, the current test .iso did not load for me. I had to use an older version. The system checks went fine, but when I logged in to take the test, the machine would not boot. Tech support showed me how to do it, but then I could't even enter any text to login! After half an hour, I had to give up. So knowing myself, I admit part of the problem is probably me. I just didn't understand how to interact with the test. I couldn't even begin the test, after many many hours of preparation. So my question is this: Is there a practice test where you can get familiar with the test environment? And, is the test environment / system any different if I take the test at a test facility?
