yes, a simple USB to WIFI adapter is allowed
Consider using USB to Ethernet adapter for a more reliable connection
Regards
If we are going that far, I would recommend a USB docking station while we are at it.
I think the external dock is allowed if needed to achieve the necessary connectivity to the required devices and hook up to the network. However, some external docks plugged into the USB-C ports use Thunderbolt protocols and there may be issues. So basic USB to SOMETHING adapters are better. The number of USB ports may also be multiplied by a USB HUB.
Hello, I'm going through my compatibility test; however, since I'm not using wired ethernet due to the location of my ethernet outlets, would I still be able to configure my network or I'll have to move to a location with the ethernet adapter?
Trying to configure the network, and I'm unable to turn on the internet on the system because apparently "The ethernet is unplugged". That's the message I'm getting and the button is grayed out.
Wired ethernet is a recommendation (not a requirement) as it provides the best connection estability for the exams.
If your wifi adapter is not recognized (you should see multiple adapters, or an adapter under the Wifi settings), you'll probably need to use the wired connection.
Hope this clarifies.
My laptop microphone does not work . Do we really need microphone to work or we allow to attach external speaker using USB ?
Hi, I have my exam scheudled on 15th Feb (day after tomorrow) but i'm unable to run the compatibility test. I burn the image in USB using Fedora Image writer. At start up when i select the USb to boot from, the screen refreshes and the same menu apppears again.
Please help, as it is very difficult to rescheudle and find a nearest slot.
Hi,
Did you already checked the laptop you are using is compatible for the exam ?
Try and reburn the image and test it once again.
Also share the screenshot what exactly are you getting while logging in ?
