Hi,

The Exam iso has to be downloaded from the e-book or the Exam confirmation email sent to you. hope you are trying to download the Fedora work station image.

You can try to download the latest iso from the link below:

https://static.redhat.com/downloads/training-certification/rhrexboot.iso

You can follow the step by step instructions from the e-book (Preparation guide) for successful login.

 "I download the ISO and reboot the system and the Fedora workstation comes up."

You're not really telling us what's going wrong for you.

If you burned the ISO to a USB stick correctly, you are supposed to get a Linux desktop.

What were you expecting to happen?

I was expecting the Red Hat exam environment to appear. If the Fedora workstation is correct how do you get to the exam environment?

Hi,

you go through the PDF file in the below-mentioned URL and follow all the given instructions. The steps are explained in detail along with pictures in the PDF file. This file also gives further instructions on how to boot the remote exam using the live USB.

You mean you downloaded the ISO and burn it as a Live USB and then boot the system with that and you are getting Fedora workstation ?

Yes, RHREXBOOT gives me an error when it boots up. Fedora-Workstation-Live-x86_64-38-1.6.iso. boots Fedora workstation. What should I do to get to the exam environment?

You cannot just download any other ISO for the exams @Marcus26 . The ISO you downloaded is Fedora Workstation, which is not an exam ISO.

You must use either one of these two:

  1. The current version -> https://static.redhat.com/downloads/training-certification/rhrexboot.iso
  2. The 2020 version -> https://static.redhat.com/downloads/training-certification/rhrexboot-2020-08.iso

These are the only ISOs for taking the exam. You cannot use any other ISOs.

The current version is known to have compatibility problems with many computers, which is why lots of people try the 2020 version as well. In my personal case, the current ISO fails as well, but the 2020 lets me prepare and login for an exam just fine.
