Red Hat Remote Exam - Latest ISO is not working

Jump to solution

Dear Team,

First of all, thank you for arranging the remote exam facility. I have attended 3 exams remotely and I didnt find any issues with that.

But, I was trying to schedule another exam and was testing the ISO. And realized that, the new ISO is not working as it is prompting with error. (see photos)

I have tried the ISO with almost all model of laptops (personal and office laptops)

  • HP, Lenovo, Fujitsu Laptops
  • MacBook Pro, MacBook Air

Unfortunately, I have wiped my USB drive and also deleted old Exam ISO.

Anyone else facing this issue ?

Thank you.

If someone has the problem with dell laptops:

1. set as 1st boot device the redhat usb

2. disable 'secure boot'

3. after the exam set back the 1st boot device + enable secure boot + on the secure boot window do a reset to factory settings

I faced this issue. Same error tried with 1 desktop(HP touch smart), dell, HP, Lenovo laptop. I am
Getting same secure boot errors for dell and Lenovo.

In touch smart it’s comes to grub and gives me unknown filesystem error

Please make sure the Secure Boot is turned OFF /disabled/ in your BIOS
It can usually be found in System, Boot or Security section.
For Apple Computers with T2 security chip,  enter Startup Security Utility and allow external USB boot and disable the Secure Boot there.

Hi @PetrCihlar ,
But it was working without any modificaiton in BIOS ! (I have attended 2 exams already without any issue (same laptop, same USB Drive).
Issue found only after I use new ISO !

And USB boot is working perfectly for normal Fedora OS or Ubuntu OS
