Swap Space Storage

Jump to solution

What can be used for swap space storage?

Since I'm posing the question, I'm going to use the privilege afforded me as
the questioner, and give the first two responses:
1)  Hard Disk Drive (HDD)
2)  Solid State Drive (SSD)

So, since I've claimed those 2, what else is there?????

@Trevor

The following are the different ways to add a swap space:

Extending swap on an LVM2 logical volume
Creating an LVM2 logical volume for swap
Creating a swap file
Creating a partition with parted and then use fs-type as linux-swap.

Did I get your question correctly @Trevor ?

Hello Wasim,

I like the swap file response.

Why do you say NFS, maybe?
