ZFS anyone?
Hey everyone.
Anyone here running ZFS on RHEL?
I know it's not supported but interested in hearing some stories.
I'm currently running ZFS on Ubuntu but would like to switch to RHEL.

Thanks.

@Armanator You are right , ZFS is not supported by RHEL.
Oracle, the primary copyright holder of ZFS ( after acquiring Sun), maintains its own proprietary license for the code, despite years of requests from the open-source community to release it under the GPL. Currently has GPL incompatibility - so no support from RHEL. I will also strongly recommend to switch to the FS that RH supports if you are planning to switch to RHEL.
Obviously, you will need to engage RH product support for your FS switch plans and they can explain / help you more on the same.

Hello Armanator,
If you don't mind educating me, may I learn why you
began using the ZFS file system. I always like to learn
why others make choices!!1
Thanks Armanator

Hey Trevor.
To be honest I haven't looked at BTRFS in a long time. Last time I checked RAID 6 support wasn't really there and checksum verification used to be better on ZFS.
