when asked to find rsyslog.conf references, there are two ways to go :

find / -name *rsyslog.conf*
and 
locate rsyslog.conf

the two commands have the same result, but with a different sorting, and an error results

Yes you are right, I think the lab grading is hard coded to match the "locate" command to grade it pass.

I will raise this concern with the course development team to rectify this as the find command you have given will also give the same result ( unless it is specifically instructed to use locate command only ).

Just for the record, in the french version it's not clear about the use of the locate or find command
