Crontab miss understood about numeric for "day of week" field?

Teacher said that change 1-5 (Monday to Friday) to Mon-Fri. But I don't understand because it's doest match with /etc/crontab guide. Even I grade my 1-5 value, screen show pass!! So is there any confusion here?

yes, teacher said that invalid and change to Mon-Fri but i see numeric still fine.
